Full\-Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist **Location:** Arcadia, FL (Preferred) – Hybrid or Remote considered for the right candidate **Company:** Upriver Adventures LLC About Us Upriver Adventures LLC, formerly Peace River Charters, is one of Florida's premier outdoor recreation and tourism companies. We operate guided airboat tours, swamp buggy tours, horseback riding, wildlife experiences, vacation rentals, retail operations, and multiple affiliated businesses. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Full\-Charge Bookkeeper to help build accurate financial systems and provide timely reporting that supports management decisions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the accounting process and working closely with leadership in a fast\-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Position Summary The Full\-Charge Bookkeeper will oversee the day\-to\-day accounting operations for multiple affiliated companies. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing monthly financial reports, assisting with payroll and sales tax, and helping improve accounting procedures as the business grows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail\-oriented, dependable, and confident working independently. Primary Responsibilities * Manage bookkeeping for multiple companies using QuickBooks Online * Record and reconcile all bank and credit card transactions * Maintain accurate general ledgers * Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports * Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable * Manage vendor records and payments * Assist with payroll processing and payroll reporting * Prepare and file Florida sales tax returns * Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules * Record intercompany transactions and reconciliations * Assist with annual budgets and cash flow forecasting * Support outside CPA during year\-end tax preparation * Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls * Maintain organized digital financial records Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience * Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online * Experience managing accounting for multiple companies preferred * Strong understanding of GAAP\-based bookkeeping principles * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Experience with payroll systems * Experience preparing sales tax filings * Strong organizational and time management skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: * Tourism or hospitality accounting * Retail/POS accounting * Stripe payment processing * Reservation software * Multi\-entity accounting * Construction or equipment tracking * Job costing * Inventory management Compensation \& Benefits * Competitive salary
