Senior Accountant

**Position Overview** We are seeking a **Senior Accountant** whose primary responsibility is **managing and developing people** while delivering high\-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services. This role requires strong knowledge of **U.S. GAAP, U.S. tax compliance, and international tax considerations**, combined with the ability to lead teams and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The ideal candidate is **organized, inquisitive, client\-facing**, and capable of translating complex financial data into actionable business insights. This is a **fully remote position** working closely with leadership and accounting staff. **Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership \& Management (Primary Function)** * Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and bookkeepers * Review financial statements, bookkeeping, and tax work for accuracy and compliance * Provide technical guidance on U.S. GAAP and tax matters * Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and client deliverables are consistently met * Improve internal processes, workflows, and team efficiency **Client Advisory \& Relationship Management** * Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients * Provide proactive tax planning and strategic financial advice * Interpret financial statements and communicate insights clearly to clients * Identify opportunities to improve client cash flow, profitability, and tax position * Build long\-term, trust\-based client relationships **Accounting \& Tax Oversight** * Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP * Review and guide U.S. tax filings (individual, business, and multi\-entity structures) * Support international tax considerations (e.g., foreign entities, reporting, compliance) * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and applicable international regulations **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * **US CPA license preferred** * 5\+ years of accounting and tax experience * Strong knowledge of **U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax regulations** * Experience with **international tax or cross\-border clients** preferred * Proven experience **managing and developing teams** * Strong client\-facing and communication skills **Key Competencies** * Leadership \& people management (core focus) * Advisory mindset (not just compliance) * High level of organization and attention to detail * Inquisitive and problem\-solving oriented * Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously * Strong analytical and decision\-making skills **Work Environment** * Fully remote * Collaborative, fast\-paced, and growth\-oriented team * Opportunity to work directly with leadership and influence firm strategy **What Success Looks Like** * Team operates efficiently with high\-quality output * Clients receive proactive, strategic guidance—not just compliance work * Deadlines are consistently met with minimal oversight * Internal processes continuously improve Pay: $72,950
