Accountant/Bookkeeper

**Overview** Remote Accountant / Financial Controller **Location:** Remote (Work From Home) **Job Type:** Full\-Time We're looking for an experienced accountant to take ownership of our company's finances and help us understand exactly where our money is going. This isn't just a bookkeeping position—we want someone who can keep our financials organized, monitor profitability, and provide recommendations that help the business grow. We're a fast\-growing company, and we need someone who is proactive, organized, and enjoys finding ways to improve financial performance. Responsibilities * Process payroll accurately and on time * Maintain and reconcile business bank accounts * Keep accounting records clean and organized * Track company expenses and identify spending trends * Monitor profitability and prepare monthly Profit \& Loss reports * Provide recommendations on reducing unnecessary expenses and improving margins * Prepare financial reports so management always knows where the business stands * Assist with quarterly and year\-end tax preparation by working alongside our CPA * Clean up historical bookkeeping and organize previous quarters so we have accurate financial reporting * Monitor cash flow and help forecast future expenses * Ensure vendors, subscriptions, and recurring expenses are properly tracked Qualifications * 3\+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience * Strong understanding of payroll and financial reporting * Experience with QuickBooks Online (required) * Excellent knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets * Detail\-oriented and highly organized * Able to work independently with minimal supervision * Comfortable making recommendations instead of simply recording transactions * CPA or accounting degree is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For We don't just want someone who enters transactions.
