You will be directly responsible for executing payroll cycles—not just overseeing them. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on expertise in Canada and US payroll processing and thrives in a detail-oriented, execution-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Payroll Execution (Hands-On)Personally execute end-to-end payroll processing, with a primary focus on Canada and US payrollProcess payroll cycles across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and timelinessManage payroll inputs, calculations, adjustments, and reconciliationsSupport global year-end payroll activities, tax filings, and reportingNorth American & International Benefits AdministrationAdminister Canada and US benefits including health, dental, disability, life, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leavesAdminister international benefits in partnership with global vendors and local brokers across EMEA, LATAM, and APACProcess enrollments, life events, terminations, and benefit updates globallyMaintain accurate benefits data across payroll, HRIS, and vendor systemsEnsure compliance with regional benefits regulationsCompliance, Controls & GovernanceEnsure compliance with federal, provincial, state, and international payroll legislationMaintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll and benefits dataSupport audits and maintain internal controlsMonitor and implement changes to global payroll and benefits regulationsEmployee Support & CollaborationAct as escalation point for payroll and benefits inquiriesProvide clear, accurate, and timely support to employeesCollaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors globallySystems & ReportingManage and optimize payroll systems such as UKG, Workday, CloudPay, ADP, or similarMaintain system integrity, audit integrations, and support enhancementsProduce reporting and analytics for leadership, budgeting, and workforce planningWho You AreExperienced Payroll Practitioner (Mandatory)10+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a Payroll Lead or Manager roleMandatory: Hands-on experience processing Canada and US payroll (not just oversight)Proven experience as a payroll practitioner actively running payroll cyclesExperience with global payroll (EMEA, LATAM, APAC) is preferredExperience administering North American and international benefitsAnalytical & Detail-OrientedStrong numeracy skills with a high level of accuracyAdvanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)Organized & TrustworthyAbility to manage multiple time zones, deadlines, and complex dataHigh level of confidentiality and attention to detailTech-Savvy & Improvement-FocusedExperience with payroll/HRIS systems (UKG, Workday, CloudPay, ADP, etc.)Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracySkills & QualificationsDegree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fieldPayroll certification required (PCP, CPM, CPP, or equivalent)Strong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in English; additional languages are an assetSuccess in This RoleFirst 1–3 Months: Learning & FoundationLearn systems, workflows, and global payroll processesBegin processing payroll cycles with a focus on Canada and USSupport benefits administration and employee inquiriesMonths 4–6: Independent ExecutionIndependently manage full-cycle Canada and US payrollProcess international payrollsLead benefits administration activities and reconciliationsSupport year-end payroll preparation7+ Months: Ownership & OptimizationO
