GI Expert Nurse Practitioner — ClinicalReports To: APP Pod LeadLicenses Currently Held: Oregon licensure required at time of hireRequired Location:PST or MST time zone only. We are not currently hiring from Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming and Idaho despite being in those time zones.Employment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewAs a GI Expert Nurse Practitioner at Oshi Health, you'll deliver high-quality, virtual-first gastrointestinal care to adults with complex digestive conditions through our telemedicine platform. You'll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of GI physicians, dietitians, and behavioral health specialists to provide coordinated, whole-person care that helps patients achieve lasting digestive health improvements. This role is at the heart of our mission — and your clinical expertise will directly change lives.What You'll Do — Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver virtual patient care in alignment with Oshi's evidence-based care model, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for GI conditions with a focus on DGBIs, GERD, and IBD via video visits and chat messagingCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team (GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators) to implement coordinated, comprehensive care plansAdhere to clinical protocols including ROME IV criteria and AGA and ACG guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care deliveryDocument patient interactions accurately and timely within the EHR, maintaining thorough and compliant recordsAllocate approximately 30 hours per week to direct patient care and 10 hours to documentation, meetings, and administrative responsibilitiesThis is not a traditional 9-5 role — scheduling includes a mix of early morning, evening, and weekend hours to meet patient access needs. Flexibility and willingness to work outside standard business hours is essentialParticipate in quality improvement, clinical program development, and professional training to stay current in the field of gastrointestinal carePursue cross-licensure opportunities and maintain good standing with all relevant licenses and certificationsWhat We're Looking For — Qualifications & RequirementsRequiredCurrent licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master's or Doctoral degree in NursingCurrent certification by ANCC, AANP, or other qualifying agency as an Adult or Family Nurse PractitionerMinimum of 3 years of experience in gastroenterology specialty in an outpatient settingActive Oregon licensure required at time of hireAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care providers including physicians, psychologists, and registered dietitiansPreferredLicensure in 2 additional states desired — candidates must be willing and able to obtain within 60 days of hireExperience with or willingness to learn common administrative and clinical technologies (Zoom, Google Suite, Salesforce, Athena, or equivalent)Prior experience with telehealth platformsComfort operating in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment with evolving workflows and ambiguityCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experience, with annual bonus eligibilityHealth Benefits: 90% employee premiums paid for medical, dental, and vision coverageTime Off: 3 weeks paid PTO + 11 paid holidays + 1 floating holidayRetirement: Eligibility to contribute to 401(k)Work Style: Remote-first — work from home anywhere in the USGrowth: Advanced training by GI-specialized clinicians and professional development support as we scaleLicensure: Cross-licensure support and reimbursement opportunitiesLife Concierge: Dedicated personal support through OverallsAbout Oshi HealthOshi Health is a virtual digestive health practice on a mission to transform GI care.
