Remote Bookkeeper (Oswego, IL) - Quickbooks Experience Required

**Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper (Chicago\-Based) – QuickBooks Experience Required** **Pay:** $42,000 – $47,000 per year **Job Type:** Full\-Time **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, flexible hours (generally between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) **Location Requirement:** Must reside in the Chicago, IL area (occasional in\-person meetings required) **Job Description:** Cyclone Linehaul is seeking a reliable and detail\-oriented Bookkeeper to support our Controller and help manage day\-to\-day financial operations. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in the Chicago, IL area and available to meet in person a few times per month. This role is ideal for someone who is already comfortable using QuickBooks and can step in without requiring extensive training, while also being open to feedback and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring transactions are properly documented. **Key Responsibilities:** * Categorize and record financial transactions in QuickBooks * Attach invoices and receipts to corresponding transactions * Follow up on and track down missing receipts/documentation * Perform account reconciliations * Assist with general bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed * Support the Controller with ongoing financial organization and reporting needs **Qualifications:** * Prior bookkeeping experience required * Proficiency in QuickBooks (must be able to work independently) * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Coachable, with a willingness to learn and improve processes * Ability to manage tasks and follow through without constant supervision * Strong communication skills, especially for follow\-ups on missing documentation * Must be based in the Chicago, IL area and able to meet in person periodically **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary ($42,000 – $47,000\) * Flexible work schedule * Remote work environment with limited in\-person requirements * Opportunity to work closely with leadership and grow within the company **How to Apply:** Apply through Indeed with your resume.
