JOB DESCRIPTIONSr. Manager, Media Want to combine your love for Pets with your entrepreneurial spirit to drive a next wave of growth for a leading retail media network? The Sr. Manager of Media, will oversee supplier-funded marketing programs for Covetrus. The Sr. Manager of Media will provide leadership and strategic direction, grow revenues, and manage the business unit’s overall P&L performance. The Sr. Manager of Media will develop and executing revenue strategies, including building internal relationships with other parts of Covetrus and developing customer relationships that support new business development with brands within the Pet and Animal Health community.RESPONSIBILITIESAssess and action on several metrics including revenue and proftiabily trends for retail media.Lead media team in analyzing, planning and executing strategies to grow audiences and revenue across all both B2C and B2B platforms.Manage and improve media infrastructure, including planning, operations, business development, account management.Collaborate with cross functional teams including content, creative, and site to ensure traffic is effectively monetized, while collaborating on new monetization opportunities.Work with finance to establish revenue and expense budgets that include contingency measures for the operation.Analyze the market and competition to determine the most effective sales strategies for increasing advertising revenue across multiple platforms.Utilize data and insights to measure effectiveness of media programs, providing senior leadership with strategic recommendations for optimization and growth.Serve as primary liason between media, marketing, and key manufacturers, championing co-op marketing initiatives to drive investment growth, strengthen partnerships, and maximize mutual business opportunities.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESManage and supervise a team in day-to-day media management while also leading the process of strategic retail planning/execution and serving as a resource for the teamTrain, motivate, grow and evaluate team-membersQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field requiredMinimum 5+ years leading digital & media operations and teamsExperience growing revenues and scaling a media business/network requiredExcellent digital aptitude, marketing measurement, and significant familiarity with ad ops technoloStrong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and presentation skills and ability to implement initiatives within the team and companyExcellent leadership skills and experience managing staff to exceed engagement and revenue goalsExcellent organizational skills, analytical skills, and strategic thinkingExperience with analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Tableau and Excel strongly preferredStrong strategic planning, communication, analytical, interpersonal, organizational and resource management skillsDemonstrated understanding of online marketing principles, media publishing, monetization, and advertisingCOMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)Media Operations and ManagmentBe the expert on media ecosystems for Covetrus, vRxPro, and Great Pet CareParticipates in building and evolving the Great Pet Care media vision and areas of expertiseTeam Leadership & DevelopmentEmbraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosityMotivates, leads, and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our consumers and brand clients’ performance and business objectivesAssists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team membersConducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reportsProcess ImprovementFacilitates the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the groupContinue to evolve the team and strategy approach for media, including development of a additional internal media capabilities and an approach for media innovationClient Engagement and SellingUnderstands and explains the features and benefits of all media programs and servicesLead the retail media planning process with cross sells of products and services to grow Covetrus’ share of marketing spendSupports business development sales in selling solutions as appropriateAccount ManagementDevelops, manages, and monitors client service delivery executions of the key rtail accountsOversees process development and execution managementAssures quality control of all media planning and implementationEnforces Best PracticesPrepares and presents annual financial plans and human resources plansPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
