Video Editor and Graphic Designer

Position ObjectivesTo create exciting, cutting-edge videos and print graphics, including print advertisements, for English-, Japanese-, Chinese-, or Vietnamese-speaking audiences with the use of video editing and graphic design software to help promote the goals of the organizationTo improve existing videos aimed at promoting animal rights for the organization’s social media channelsPrimary Responsibilities and DutiesCreate videos from concept to completion to share via Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram as well as the organization’s other social media channels, such as Miaopai and TencentProduce print graphics and advertisements to use in the organization’s online workUse discretion in selecting appropriate video footage by digitally cutting files to put together for video sequencesFine-tune the content of videos, as neededPerform editing duties, such as suggesting or selecting music, correcting faulty footage, and adding special effects, as neededTake responsibility for the quality control of videosAbide by any legal guidelines regarding video production from start to completionStay current on social media trends and capabilitiesPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisorProven experience with video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, EDIUS Pro, and Final Cut ProExtensive knowledge of and experience with Adobe PhotoshopSimplified Chinese skills preferredStrong working knowledge of all stages of video editing, including assembling recorded raw footage into a finished productStrong creative and digital technology skillsSophisticated understanding of and appreciation for the creative processThorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaignsProven ability to work under tight deadlines in a professional mannerCommitment to the objectives of the organizationPETA Asia is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals.
