Healthcare IT Intern – Cloud \& Imaging Systems **Modern Medical Solutions \| Huntington, WV (Remote Eligible)** **Internship \| Paid \| Part\-Time or Full\-Time Available** About Us Modern Medical Solutions (MMS) is a healthcare IT consulting firm specializing in radiology IT managed services for hospitals and health systems nationwide. We partner with imaging centers, radiology groups, and health systems to design, integrate, and manage the technology that powers diagnostic imaging — from PACS and DICOM infrastructure to cloud\-based workflows and HL7 integrations. This is a ground\-floor opportunity to work directly with experienced healthcare IT professionals on real client engagements. The Opportunity As an MMS Healthcare IT Intern, you'll gain hands\-on exposure to the intersection of cloud architecture and medical imaging technology — one of the fastest\-growing and most specialized areas in health IT. You won't be fetching coffee. You'll be contributing to actual infrastructure design, documentation, and client\-facing deliverables. What You'll Work On * Supporting cloud infrastructure design and deployment (GCP, AWS, or Azure) for healthcare imaging environments * Assisting with DICOM routing architecture, PACS integration, and HL7 workflow documentation * Participating in client migration and onboarding projects * Developing and maintaining technical SOPs and runbooks * Contributing to internal tooling, monitoring dashboards, and helpdesk operations * Researching emerging standards in medical imaging IT and cloud interoperability (DICOMweb, FHIR) What We're Looking For * Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field * Foundational knowledge of networking, cloud computing, or Linux administration * Curiosity about healthcare technology and how clinical systems work * Strong written communication skills — you'll be writing documentation and contributing to client deliverables * Self\-directed and comfortable working in a remote, async\-first environment * Bonus: any exposure to DICOM, HL7, PACS, or EHR systems What You'll Get * **Paid internship** — competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience * Real\-world experience in a highly specialized, in\-demand field * Direct mentorship from the founder and senior consultants * Exposure to enterprise\-level client engagements and healthcare IT infrastructure * Flexible, remote\-first schedule * A resume line that stands out — medical imaging IT is a niche most candidates never touch Pay: $12\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Huntington, WV 25705
