Job Description
PortaPro is software built for portable toilet companies and site service operators. Most of the people we talk to are running their business on paper, spreadsheets, or outdated systems. Or they’re stuck using expensive, overly complex software that actually makes things harder. We give them a simpler way to manage jobs, routes, equipment, and customers without the chaos. On top of that, PortaPro includes built-in tools like marketing campaigns, e-signatures, and customer portals so they can drop tools like Mailchimp and DocuSign and keep everything in one place. We’re looking for independent sales reps who can connect with these operators, understand how they run today, and show them a system that actually fits how their business works. This is a 1099 contractor role. You manage your own pipeline. We’ll support where it makes sense.TasksWhat the role actually looks like:Prospect and reach out to portable toilet companies and service operators through your own outreach and networkWork inbound leads as they come in and run them like a true consultant, not a scriptTalk directly with owners and decision makers about how they currently run scheduling, routing, and operationsRun simple, straightforward demos focused on how PortaPro makes their day-to-day easierKeep everything organized inside Salesforce so pipeline, notes, and follow-ups are always clearManage your deals from first conversation through close, including follow-ups and next stepsAvoid feature dumping. Focus on the real problems and how the product fixes themShare feedback from conversations so we can keep improving positioning and product directionRequirementsThis isn’t a corporate checklist, but this is who tends to do well:Experience selling software. Not just physical productsComfortable selling into contractors, or blue-collar industries. The “M” in SMB is where we’re focused. Established operators with real volume, real problems, and real urgency to fix them.Able to run a consultative sale instead of reading off featuresComfortable picking up the phone and starting conversationsOrganized enough to manage your own pipeline inside SalesforceAble to talk to business owners in a normal, direct wayComfortable working as a 1099 contractorBonus if you’ve worked with field service, sanitation, construction, or logistics-related softwareBenefitsWhat you get out of it:Flexible schedule. You control your time and pipelineCommission-based earnings with no capA product that actually solves real problems for operators and is easy to sell once they see itStraightforward communication. No layers, no corporate processEarly opportunity to grow with the company as more customers come onIf this sounds like something you’d be good at, send over your info.No long cover letter needed. Just a quick note on your background and why this makes sense for you. We’re not into buzzwords. No need to be a “dynamic rockstar,” or “sales guru" - a dedicated, hardworker is good enough for us. We’re looking for those who can have a real conversation, understand how someone actually runs their business, and show them a system that was built for their industry, shaped by other portable toilet operators, and designed to make their day-to-day simpler, their operation smoother, and their customers genuinely impressed. If that sounds like you, let’s connect. We’ll walk you through the product, how we’re approaching the market, and get you set up to start selling right away.Originally posted on Himalayas
