If you are a compassionate and dedicated PMHNP looking for a challenging and rewarding experience, we encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and diagnose patients with mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophreniaDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapyConduct routine check-ups, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive careOrder and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studiesPrescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications and controlled substancesMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plansParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plansStay current with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in psychiatric-mental health nursing
RequirementsRequirements:Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health NursingCurrent licensures as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of practiceCurrent certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)Minimum 2 years of experience as a PMHNP in an inpatient or outpatient settingStrong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to evaluate patients with complex mental health needsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and independenceStrong knowledge of psychiatric-mental health nursing principles, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapyAbility to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plansStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisionsAbility to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication
